Morgan's triumph marks the largest margin of victory in the tournament's 105-year history. His exceptional performance consisted of a bogey-free opening round of 63, followed by rounds of 66, 67, and a final-round 63 for a tournament total of 258 (-29).
The 30-year-old expressed his delight and disbelief at his historic victory. "It's an incredible feeling," said Morgan. "I've been working hard for this, and to win in such a dominant fashion is something I can only dream of."
Morgan's victory not only earns him the prestigious trophy but also secures a spot in the 2023 Open Championship. He becomes the first Australian to win the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship since Adam Scott in 2013.
