Kristaps Porzingis Goes Down in Game 4, Celtics Take 3-1 Series Lead
Celtics-Heat Battle Rages On
Even with Kristaps Porzingis playing through injury, averaging 20.1 points while shooting 51.6 percent from the floor and 37.5 percent from three-point range, the Celtics have taken a 3-1 series lead over the Miami Heat.
Porzingis' Injury Casts Shadow Over Celtics' Game 4 Win
Entering Monday, Porzingis averaged 14.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in the series. However, in Game 4, he suffered an injury late in the second quarter and did not return. The Celtics ultimately won the game 102-88, but Porzingis' injury could be a major setback for the team moving forward.
The Celtics had built a 17-point lead by halftime, but their momentum was halted by Porzingis' injury. The Heat took advantage of the Celtics' disarray and cut the lead to just six points in the third quarter. However, the Celtics were able to regain their composure and pull away in the fourth quarter.
With Porzingis' status up in the air, the Celtics will need to find a way to fill the void he leaves behind. If he is unable to return, it will be a major blow to their chances of winning the series.
