Starliner to Launch First Crewed Mission to International Space Station
Boeing and NASA Set Launch Date
Boeing is set to launch its first-ever crewed Starliner astronaut mission to the International Space Station (ISS) on April 2023. This historic mission, known as Starliner-1, will carry a crew of four astronauts to the ISS for a six-month stay.
A Major Milestone for Boeing
The Starliner-1 mission is a major milestone for Boeing, as it marks the culmination of years of development and testing. The Starliner spacecraft is designed to be a reusable, crew-carrying vehicle that can transport astronauts to and from the ISS and other destinations in low-Earth orbit.
The flight will also test the Starliner's ability to dock with the ISS and perform other critical maneuvers. If successful, the mission will demonstrate that the Starliner is ready to begin regular crew rotation missions to the ISS.
