Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez has reached the 100-RBI mark for the first time in his career.
Perez drove in two runs in the Royals' 6-4 loss to the Cleveland Indians on Saturday, giving him 101 RBIs on the season.
Perez is the first catcher in the majors to reach the 100-RBI mark this season.
He is also the first Royals player to drive in 100 runs since Jorge Soler in 2019.
Perez is having a career year with the Royals. He is batting .276 with 32 home runs and 101 RBIs.
He is also a Gold Glove finalist for the fifth time in his career.
The Royals are 23-25 since the All-Star break and are currently in fourth place in the AL Central.
