Introduction
WEB Train Station is located south of the University of Delaware campus and next to the James F. Hall Trail. It offers Amtrak Northeast Regional services and is a convenient transportation hub for the Newark area.
History
WEB Train Station was originally known as Newark Passenger Railroad Station and was located on the north side of the tracks under the South College Avenue railroad bridge. However, it is no longer an active train station and is now home to the Newark History Museum. In 1965, the current WEB Train Station was built to replace the old station. It was named after William E. Bright, a prominent businessman who was instrumental in its construction.
